KOABA (Korea Outdoor & Barbecue Association, kooba.kr) is a non‑profit corporation under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of South Korea, founded in November 2009kooba.kr.

It pioneered the concept of Sports Barbecue and created the new profession of Professional Barbecuer. Operating Korea Barbecue University (KBU), it delivers authorized qualifications including Barbecue Master and Outdoor Expert. KOABA organises the Barbecue World Cup (BWC), international steak cook‑offs and numerous local barbecue festivals. It promotes outdoor‑barbecue culture, boosts domestic livestock consumption and facilitates integration of outdoor industry and local tourism
